SCOPE

A new player in the Australian lending sector planned massive expansion following several rounds of funding. With only 9 full time staff and growth plans far exceeding this, they needed a recruitment partner to act as their talent acquisition team to help hire all of their resources as they grew.

The CEO had looked at a number of potential solutions but wanted a different kind of recruitment partner, not a standard contingent recruitment relationship, nor a traditional transactional RPO arrangement. They wanted a partner who could help them create a market leading company that was going to change an industry.

SOLUTION

The Outsourced Recruitment Company helped the organisation develop their recruitment strategy and hired for all departments including IT, marketing, finance and operations.  There was a major emphasis on software development and agile recruitment. We also provided executive search services, recruiting several of the C suite.

The whole team at TORC was briefed on requirements and provided recruitment services, RPO services, HR consulting, outsourced onboarding and community/team building exercises. We promoted the organisation’s services to our communities and were vocal advocates for them. We still include their product suite in our benefits package for our contractors

Our team were involved in recruiting for the organisation and we built a compelling EVP to take to market. They were a difficult organisation to recruit for because their service offering was relatively new to the Australian market (peer to peer lending) and the concept of a neo-bank was not in line with the expectations of the normally conservative Australian lending market. Our team were required to not only recruit rare and in demand specialists but were also required to sell the concept of the service offering. We became not only recruitment partners but also became proficient at marketing their product.

RESULTS

The Outsourced Recruitment Company hired the majority of the permanent team as they grew to a company with over 100 staff.  We also recruited and managed 59 contractors.  We designed a compelling onboarding pack that included merch and gifts to ‘wow on the first day’. We provided a talent acquisition function until they grew enough to justify hiring their own TA team. We continue to be their primary recruitment partner when they need to seek external help.
